    Question 2004 GTX with a blower wont wind up.

    Starts and idles well but wont rev up to red line at 7300 rpm. Sometimes hovers around 5500 to 6500 despite the throttle being pegged wide open. Flashes "maint" on power up but when I push the set button 4 times sequentially as instructed it just beeps and says "end" and won't return a fault code. Maybe more than 1 code ? Since the ski is over 10 years old my local scum bag $#@!&^♧◇♤sea doo dealer wont work on it. The ski has 250 hours on it and fresh plugs.

    Would consider a supercharger rebuild and find and a local Indy shop that has the dignsotic software or buy a candoo if looking to maintain your self

    Maintenance light flashing just a means there is a scheduled maintenance due, doesn’t mean that there’s a fault. You can reset it with a can Doo pro. And like stated, check ur supercharger. I’m guessing it’s missing ceramic washers

    it has wound up better in past years. I have had it 4 seasons. the blower was rebuilt by the previous owner. It sometimes hovers around 5500 to 6500 despite the throttle being pegged wide open is a new issue.

    So you have had the ski for 4 years and never had Supercharger (SC) rebuilt?

    Classic symptoms of SC slipping and should be rebuilt. Once the spring washers / bearings let go it WILL grenade the engine. Most people send it to Jerry for his rebuild service, see his Sticky link above!

    MAINT light is simply 100 hour service reminder.
