    Howdy.
Spencer's build (link above) is the only one I know of that actually did it. I too have a nice FST block that I plan to use, if I ever get around to it.

You will need the special waterpump housing. Not the MSX one. Not the FST one... it's a special hybrid... and rare. I think Randy at WeberPower can get you one. It has all the needed in/outs of the MSX waterpump... but designed to use the solid metal crossover pipe that's used on FSTs. The MSX waterpump cover used the large hose crossover and different elbow. Not sure how much this piece would cost.

2nd, the FST has a different mounting hole for the forward turbo bracket mount. This is another unique piece because FST don't use MSX exhaust/turbo manifolds nor turbo bracket. This piece is also available at WeberPower... or you could custom rig it like Spencer did to make the MSX turbo bracket work on the FST mounting hole.

3rd, you need to find a new spot for the oil pressure switch. MSX stock location not present on FST block.

I believe both pistons will work fine... I would use MSX ones, or Wiseco ones.

If you undertake this swap... would love to see your progress.

    Cheers!

Is there any reason why I cannot use the original coolant elbow from the MSX block and install it on the FST block ??? then just use the original water pump set up ?

The MSX coolant elbow is pressed in. The FST elbow is bolted in sealed with an o-ring. You might be able to machine the FST block to accept the MSX coolant elbow... or press fit it in somehow... or modify the FST elbow to accept a hose... but they are not interchangeable in stock forms.

    Cheers!
