    2008 Rxp maintenance

    I bought my 08 rxpx in April with 30 hours on it, the previous owners evidently serviced the ski when needed I just want to prevent any nightmares later on. The ski now has 44 hours, Iím pretty mechanically inclined so I plan on doing maintenance myself. I ordered the oil change kit from seadoo Iím just wondering what else needs to be done, if thereís anyone that has any info they want to share it would be greatly appreciated Click image for larger version.

    Spark plugs should be done yearly. Start planning on when you are going to rebuild your supercharger. I believe the recommended time is 100 hrs or 2 yrs. Which ever one comes first is when it needs to happen they say.

    I have read about greasing the jet drive, is that necessary at this point?

    I havent ever with my 06 rxt. It now has 380hrs on it. It always had plenty of grease

    skis got relatively low hours but is new to you.... may as well pop the pump cone off and take a look at the grease. should be a waxy dull yellowish color if clean. there's an actual spec on how much should be in there but by looking at it, its about half the nose cone full

    Did you replace the ceramic o rings on the supercharger? Thereís a thread on here about that too

    Check the cone for grease and also check your intercooler for interior leaks. That years is prone to have leaky intercoolers. Also heard about some drive shaft issues but not sure as to what to look for there.

    Also donít forget to fog the engine after every ride in salt water, I do every ride period just for good measure. An oil coating on that aluminum intercooler really helps prevent corrosion in the future.

    I live in western Kentucky and bought the ski from Tennessee, closest salt water is about 8 hours away lol, what do I need to look for with leaks in the intercooler?
