MPH should be close to 60. And RPM should be closer to 6500. Check compression and jet pump condition. Excessively worn or wrong impeller can limit MPH. Broken stator vanes, worn out wear ring, or bad bearings will limit performance as well

    Check the things XLINT89 suggested

    My well used,completely stock 97 SL1050 runs 6620-6710 rpm.Sorry I don't have GPS,(MFD"s are inconsistent)the MFD reads 62-65 mph on very smooth water.My compression reads 100 psi.
