Another 04 Freedom 700 no start problem
Okay, I got this thing for next to nothing but its driving me up the wall.
It wouldn't turn the motor over when i got it and i replaced the starter bendix which resolved that issue.
It runs very well if i hold the bilge pump button.
I have checked all of the grounds and they seem to conduct just fine.
I have done the checks for wiring inside the electrical box based on a post on this forum i found and everything checks out except cranking orange has basically no voltage unless bilge is pressed.
I have replaced the LR505 with a brand new unit from the one ebay seller that sells the correct one.
The battery voltage is 11-12 cranking while trying to start
Yes i have the lanyard in.
What do i look for next?

Welcome.
Measure DC volts on the Yellow wires. Should have full battery voltage when just sitting.
Also, try this;

When cranking i see very low voltage at the orange wire. I'll have to snap a picture of the electrical box and post it as i'm not sure if this thing is wired correctly. Everything in the ski looks pretty normal from what i can tell and this LR module is brand new so idk what gives. If i get it started with the bilge button it runs if i hold it and when i let go it immediately dies.

The LR has 3 jobs. One is to supply power to the orange wires when running and when cranking. One part on the orange wires is the bilge pump.
When you press the bilge button, you are sending power to the bilge pump and what ever else is plugged into orange, like the CDI. Really bypassing the LR.
The second job is to control the charging system on the yellow wire. What is the voltage on yellow sitting, cranking and running.
The correct signal on yellow is what turns on the LR.

I see some signs of corrosion under a couple of the rivets on the boards.
Do this, report back.
