Both the BOV and relief valve are on the intercooler. relief valve bolts directly on and should open at greater than 11.7 psi. The bypass valve hangs off the 90 degree hose. It should open at around -15 inches of mercury vacuum applied to the little line that goes to the intake. You should be able to use something like a mightyvac to test it.

Any idea if this machine has a serviceable fuel filter?

All filtration is internal to the pump unit.

Did you end up sorting this out at all? would love to know what you found causing this

I would also. I'm trying to figure out low rpm and top end speed. I've sent SC to Kawi perfomance and had checked. Said it was good. New plugs, new SC belt, fuel pressure 43psi, boost just over 10 psi but only get 6320 rpm and 44ish mph. Like to block off BOV to check that. Guessing maybe pump. Any other ideas??? Ty in advance.

Fuel pressure is only 1/2 the fuel test.... the biggest issue on old skies like this is the fuel filter is blocked .... and it causes surging in high rpm symptoms.... you need to do the FLOW test as per manual.... and reduction in flow output causes problems in stable full rpm readings
