    why your 2019 fx svho may be slower

    Hello everyone i did a stage 1 plus on a 2019 fxsvho and was only getting 73 mph. at 8000 rpm then pitch impeller to get more rpm gained a little. So looked at it further to see why checked everything over to see what was going on everything looked good. So i figured let me run the air thru the tube up front to get fresh air to charger. Soon as i took of the front cover could not believe what i saw both factory tubes that bring air to hull were 1/8 inch from bottom of hull no way for enough air to get into hull. so i put a hard flex tube from riva filter tube to side vent customer took it back out and ran 79 on it at 8700 rpm. after going across whole lake to find decent water. So if your speeds are very low on your 2019 fxsvho check your vent tubes to see if they are low to hull might want to raise them up for more air coming in to hull.

    Jim you’ve probably done a few of these new FXs now. I’m hearing around a 2 mph slower hull mod for mod compared to the prior version. What’s your experience?

    after finding this i would say close. because when i do a stage 1 plus on 2012 to 2018 speeds are close to that.

    Mine were also half an inch off the bottom of the hull. For some reason I didn’t gain much rpm or speed when I cut them

    Jim, are you removing the factory flex tubes or positioning them towards the intake filter?
