2001 polaris Virage TXI seized
2001 Virage TXI ran great and then stalled, felt like seized engine than started back after a few mins and shut down again. Struggled to turn over then seized up again so we towed it in. After we got home I pulled the plugs it would turn over, but struggled compression felt fine with finger test, but finally seized again. Any idea's whats wrong?

Welcome to Greenhulk.
Pull the jet pump to determine whether it's the pump or motor that is locked up.

I had that thought, because before this happened I took my wife to a public dock to use the bathroom and it was real shallow. The ski stalled twice at idle there but I didn't think anything about it. when she came back to her ski it took off fine. Then about 5 mins later is when everything went to crap. The next morning I crawled under under and looked at the pump and it was clear of debris, could there be anything else that would seize the pump?

I really hope its not a piston, we ran this ski three days before hard for two hours without a problem

If it is the jet pump, while you're correcting that, you'll also want to reinforce the fuel pressure regulator (FPR). They literally fall off, inside the fuel tank, and when they do, fule pressure drops to near zero---but often they will continue to run. However, the mixture is very lean and it WILL result in a melt down. See this thread for how to reinforce the FPR.

Well now i'm more confused. I charged the battery and it turned over fine with the plugs out. I removed the pump first and it was fine, motor was still seized with 11.4 volts on the battery. I went ahead a broke the heads down and the pistons are really scared on the bow end of the ski, but the cylinder walls on all three are perfect. I drug a magnet in the crank case and there was some very fine particles of metal so I wonder if it might be a crank shaft bearing.

Looks like foreign object damage to the piston dome and cylinder head, which suggests a bearing from down below is coming apart and the pieces are traveling up into the combustion chamber.
Crankshaft rebuild seems likely.

That kinda what I was thinking. Could a bad crank shaft bearing make a motor hard to turn over and could a ski being stored improperly cause this(I bought these skis and they had been sitting two years)
