Low Oil Warning and massive oil leak

    Hi Guys,

On my first ride of my used 2007 Kawasaki Ultra LX. The low oil pressure warning sounded after 10 minutes on the water. I shut the motor and pulled off the seat. The bottom of the hull was covered in oil. The dipstick was dry as a bone. The oil was changed a week ago and my tech test drove the ski when done. The ski was idling smoothly when I shut her down. Luckily the wind was blowing hard so I drifted up on the beach.

Any ideas what could have happened?

maybe he DIDNT test ride it like he said ……….. go straight back to him as 1st point of call I say
maybe he didnt tighten the oil filter correctly
maybe he left the old oil filter Oring on and it popped out
maybe he broke the oil switch when he did the filter change

you first need to clean the hull and find the source of the leak

My bet is that one right there . . . I have seen many Posts about this; with this being the cause. Good news is your engine is likely OK. JB
