GTI 155 SE 2017 Reboarding Step - Spring Failure

Can you advise how to recondition the OEM reboarding step? Mine has no resistance and just flops down over the jet pump.

I just wanted a heads-up regarding if it is easily user-serviceable, before I take it to pieces.

(I'm a few months out of warranty)

    thanks

Same thing happened to mine. I purchased the spring it was about $20 online. You then have to remove the entire step including the mounts. Disassemble the base and remove the broken spring and install the new one. You may need help its a little tricky to hold everything at once. Reinstall the step to the ski. Make sure to use sealant on the screws that go into the hull. Took me about 20 minuets total.
