My does it when I carry gas cans in the back. It does it when ski was stock. Never remember that on Kawasaki ultra

yea that's what I used SS its been yr's ago I had one or 2 finder washers per side. they are thinner and bigger round than regular washers. and yes the back 2 bolts between the ride plate and hull. start with one per side if it stop the problem find something thinner until its start again the u have ur sweet spot and with only one washer per side u still have a problem just keep adding with in reason to fix it.

I just thought. Will the metal washer dig into the hull? Maybe a nylon washer is better?

that's why I used a finder washer there bigger round than a regular washer but nylon should work

Cool ok will do. I’ve never messed with ride plate shimming. Is what you said about adding washers common practice? Rule of thumb? Didn’t have to do with my old ski and not wanting to make it dangerous to ride etc...

Another option before you shim, which may be better, since you already have the wedge plate is to install the wedge upside down. You will basically be turning the 5 degree nozzle into a 3 degree nozzle. Some people have found more speed with the 3 degrees vs. 5 on the FX with a good ride plate. That would counter act a ride plate that may be over aggressively cut for you boat and be more efficient. Or try both ways and see which you like best.
