k i have many yrs doing skis and all kinds of carbs but stumped! lol 98 stx1100 looks like new!!!!! 20 hrs on it .fresh fuel ! started ski ran like crap!! erective idle poor throttle response ect classic gummed up carbs I thought . pulled carbs . they were very clean!! I maean they look like new inside and out! pulled that stupid large built in fuel pump apart . yes I have the tamerproof torx bits it looked like new! only problem I really found was the plastic screw cap that locks the needles in the slide in place . one was just sitting in there. I factory f up?? I mean these carbs appear to never been touched before . reinstalled ran they same!!!poor idle poor throttle response sacts like it has a bad air leak?? . pulled the carbs back off . for shits ang giggles I have a set of 96 900 nocv carbs I just threw on it started right up idle and ran nice. what is wrong with these 1100cv carbs?? I have pulled them apart again I see nothing wrong ?? what am I missing?? I mean I have only been doing this sense 1973!!!! wtf and still learning anybody experts on 1100 cvcarbs?? oh it has 125 psi all 3 cyls

If you want to be able to tune, get a set of 1100 cdk carbs and rebuild them. They may just need new gaskets. Were the plugs covering the mixture screws removed ?

I would assume that you cleaned the internal filters, correct? New O-rings on the fuel rails and needle valve seats? Pop-off about 15 PSI? Chokes installed? Factory flame arrestor?

You can buy separate fuel pumps if you don't like the factory model.

Having a similar issue with 97 1100 and 2011 900. Two different sets of carbs. Struggling!
