    Polaris SL700 PTO replacement

Anyone know where I can find a new PTO coupler for a 1996 Polaris SL700? Any tips for removing the old one?

I was able to get the old one off by using a piece of rope in the cylinder to stop the rotation and break it free from the crank.
Is it common to have these PTO coupler start slipping upon acceleration? I know they are designed to slip if you suck up something in the jet but this is just slipping when I tried to gas it. Can the rubber in the PTO be replaced? Doubtful I'm sure... I found a supposed good used one on eBay, we'll see.

The rubber bonded PTO coupler is not designed to slip, ever. If the rubber slips at all, the coupler is finished.

The only fix is replacement with another good coupler.

Sometimes the rubber bond to the metal does fail. Doesn’t happen often, but it can fail.

OK, I thought it was like a prop on a boat and designed to slip in the event of a hard hit instead of taking out the prop or the shaft. I have the one off eBay installed and need to go to the lake for a test. The one I took off looked like the center hub slipped and burned the rubber a tiny bit, the replacement looks the same, hope it works cause I haven't found a new replacement yet.
