    GTX 155 Fuel Comsumption

Brand new GTX155 , Filled the tank, took her for a 1 hour ride, the next day a 2 hour ride. With 3 hours on it the low fuel lite came on. Should I be concerned or will she striating out with more break in time ?

Your fuel consumption rate will vary by riding style. If in sport mode and wide open throttle, it will increase consumption.

Low fuel warning typically comes on with about 3-4 gallons remaining. If you have the 15.9 gal tank, that's about 1/4 tank actually remaining.

Now if it wasn't actually low on fuel the fuel level sensor could be bad.

I'll see if I can get a visual on the tank. I also did fill up at the local (Fly by Nite ) gas station, god knows what comes out of their pumps and I could of babied it a little more for its first 3 hrs.

I don't have any numbers to back it up, but the two 2018 GTX 155's we have don't seem to get as good fuel consumption as the 3 previous GTI 155's we had. Maybe the difference in hull design has something to do with that. Don't know for sure.

Did the older models have a larger capacity fuel tank?

It all depends on your ridding style, your throttle usage, and how far you rode during that time... If you spent that entire 3 hours running and gunning in sport mode then it will suck down some fuel. I would also believe that if you are playing around turning and hitting the throttle and such it will burn more gas as well. Yours may have an ECO mode (my 2011 does) which would help conserve some fuel if you are just cruising around. Guess one of the important questions is, did you have fun? Then burning the fuel is all worth it! Enjoy!

I can give you an example of my RXT-260. When I have the fuel consumption page on when I am riding is show around 3.5 to 5 gph when cruising at 35 mph. When I bottom the throttle is jumps to 17 gph. Like everyone says it is all about riding style.
