2001 stx 1100 di NOSE HEAVY?
First time out on the ski today ever and when I was sitting in about one and a half a foot to 1 foot chop the front end seemed like it was going to go under water when I throttled up the nose came out of the water but sitting at idle it seems so heavy upfront I thought I was taking on water went to shore checked it bone dry inside are all these skis like that super nose heavy??

Does it float level (rub rail parallel to the water) or slightly nose high in calm water? Without anyone sitting on it.

Those tend to sit low in the water compared to some. Water normally comes over the bow of the Ultra 150 when idling. Makes you think it's sinking the first time you ride one--until you pull the trigger!

Back in 1999 at a Seadoo GTX and 2000 I had an RX last weekend I drove a fx140. Yes Kawasaki STX very very strange yeah when I hit the throttle it came up out of the water but prior to that I did think it was going to sink

It’s just the shape of the STX, it’s easy for water to flow over the hood since it’s pretty much level with the water line at idle. Try to throttle up before taking on waves to stay above them.

Yup, I had several moments back in the day on my STX-15F, when I thought we were headed to Davy Jones' Locker, lol
