Take the pop off gauge & throw it in the garbage.

Are you staying with accel pump ?? Are you doing this to a XR 1800 ??

You need to put everything back to stock, stock jets, stock springs (dont worry about pop off) 1.2n/s & 115 gram springs.

The key is to drill out the mixture screw caps so you can adjust low speed mixture screw & set them to 1.5 turns out & highs at 1 turn out, bolt carbs on & it will run perfect. From idle slam the throttles & it comes out like a rocket.

I see in your first post you say "stock settings" so I assume you havent drilled out the mixture screw caps.....

They were drilled out by a previous owner.

Put all the jetting back to stock, reinstall accel pump.

Set lows at 1.5 turns out

    Set highs at 1.25 out

Put carbs on & it should be fine unless you have another issue. I have done about 4 XR1800 & tons of XLT & GPR 66V models. Dont sweat the pop off issue do what I said & it will rock.

Set highs 1 turn out or 1.25? You said 1 turn earlier.

Its a boat so go 1.25 out.

I would rather be a little richer for top end runs WOT.

I dont like accel pumps but on a boat they work because you are in no wake zones it wont "load up" with fuel during the long no wake zones.

Yamaha settings are too lean on the low & really wake up when you open the screws up. I love the XR its a way cool boat that you dont see very often.

I have seen a few pop up in my area lately & the owners cant afford our rates so they hack em up trying to make them run right. & its sad to see but I see it everyday. I just spent the last 2 days rehabbing a Seadoo Challenger 1800 what a POS !!! But is water worthy now.
