Personally I think the 2019 ride plate and intake grate are fine for a VXR. For a GP I can see going Riva it Worx and getting Jims cuts done when youíre trying to hit 80ís.

But for people with n/a 1.8ís like myself, that will basically never pass 70mph, it just seems more cost effective to get the 2019 stuff for 1/3 the price. Greenhulk store has them.

Folks may not agree with me but on the 1.8L N/A the longer RIVA ride plate made more sense. No more porpoising, more stability.

I think the 2019 plate is same length as RIVA plate.

2019 GP1800R ride plate does seem to be the same length as Riva ride plate for GP1800.

Yamaha GP1800R ride plate may have a bit more angle to the bottom cut so possibly a bit faster top end. Comparision photos were posted somewhere on here a while back.

The Worx ride plate is noticeably longer than the others, and combined with Jim's cut I like it (on my GP1800). The added length helps with the rougher water ride and the cut improves the hull tracking and handling, turning.

That's great news for new owners and those who want to upgrade. The old plate design was pretty disappointing.

Bang for your buck I vote you get the 2019 Yamaha plate and grate. But all out performance is Riva. Worx has a slight edge over Riva if youíre on extremely big water.

But go ahead and price it. The 2019 Yamaha set is less than half the price of the others.
