RXP 300 What else to hit 80?!

Hey guys, I know there are many threads on this so forgive me for creating a new intake thread but I currently have the bone stock 8300 + power filter tune and kanaflex intake installed. Best I have gotten out of the ski is 78 on the dash. Prop is stock. Have had the ski out a couple times since having the intake installed but still can't manage to get it to budge to 79/80. Any pointers on what to do next without breaking the bank to reach 80? Even if it reads 80 on the dash and isn't a true 80 I will be happy, for now lol. Thanks in advance!

Flash it with a tune that has a 8500 rev limit and add a Solas SXX 13/18.

There's not much difference in 78 and 80. Save your money and ride...

Your basically 75 GPS at 78 dash, Your going to need a stage 3+ or better and some coolish weather. Forget about 80 and enjoy your speedy ski. Struggling to keep a stage 4, 2019TX above 80 right now with the hot weather rolling into FL.

Whaaaaaat, when did this happen? Stock didnt last long hahaha. For the OP, I agree with Dino, ride and enjoy. Dont worry bout chasing that extra 1mph, at 75mph you're still faster than most skis.

If you really want to hit 80 on the dash I would remove air filter and stuff one of the stock front hull breather tubes down the kanaflex, get around three bars of gas in the ski, and wait for a cool and calm morning. Cannot remember for sure, but 8300 with stock prop might still only be 79 on dash for a lightweight rider on smooth water so you would need to get a temporary 8500 tune for "testing" purposes. Raise sponsons if water is calm enough and pray for 80. Once you do the runs, I would put the 8300 tune and air filter back on the ski.

(Allowing more air into the motor could cause it to run lean since the tune is not made for that setup. Try at your own risk, but with an off-the-shelf tune it should be fine temporarily.)

I went 80.3 ( GPS) on my 17PX Sunday. Nothing but a flash, air intake, FA removed and a Sxx 13/18. Also this was with 1/2 a tank of fuel, plus 5 extra gallons of gas in the front storage. lol
And its not the first time I have broke 80 on that ski.
