I couldn't agree more! So if you don't want to cut the original carpet on the back of the RXT, is there a pre cut Fish Pro carpet you can put there? I am assuming that is what 291005019 is.

I am really looking forward to some stories of how this thing handles, and especially if it has any durability issues--I suspect a RXT is a lot more likely to fall out of the sky than a Fish Pro and wonder how the extension will take it.

Yes 291005019 is the fish pro pre cut and it comes in black to match.
am not really planning on wake jumping this rxt-x Lol.. but I will come back with feedback about handling once I hit the water.

By the way, last time I had it in the water with the larger cooler full of drinks and food, it went a mph or two faster than without it. Don’t ask me why, I have no logic at all why lol

    cheers!

I can watch my buddies ski with a super rack and two full gas cans and a small cooler in the back basically ride a wheelie, due to the extra weight in the back. Less of the front of the ski in the water should equal less resistance.

To be honest... When I first saw the extended rear deck on the Fish Pro I thought to myself THIS IS LOOKING for trouble...... My reasoning is because I had a fishing rig at the back of my ski which placed a lot of weight at the back (2010 RXT-X 260)... The ski was VERY unstable and I even flipped the ski in the ocean while standing still (fishing)... I then removed the rig and installed fishing tubbies.... So adding weight at the back (with an overhang) on a normal ski is a BIG NO NO !!! But now that I saw the installation, one can see the foam in the extension, so I'm thinking the foam will help a lot because the extension adds buoyancy at the bag... But still waiting for some feedback...EDIT: I tried to format this post but it seems like my "ENTER" (new line) function does not want to take effect...

Nice job! Do you feel the strength and integrity after installing this extension is up to the forces of pulling a skier or towables the same as before the extension?

    Thank you!
I personally have not attached a tow pole on mine, but the attachment points are still the same and I don’t see any reason for it to be weaker. Now if you mean towing using the U loops then I would not do that even on a stock machine. It’s really to secure it to the trailer although I have seen it done a lot hehe
