RXP Tuning Problems High Idle 06 RXP
Hi Guys, I started this project a few years ago, got frustrated and bought an 300 RXPX. Now it's time to get back to it. It's an 06 RXP 215, I put Riva xx supercharger wheel, stainless exhaust valves, heavy duty springs, rear exhaust, 4"Kanaflex intake, ECU flash, OPAS block off, 50 lb injectors, AFR guage, Intercooler, stainless wear ring, max loader grate, rising rate fuel pressure regulator. The problem is now it idles at 2500 plus. Any suggestions? Someone told me the throttle body needs to be reset, but I can't seem to find anyone in my area Massachusetts that works on performance tuning. Thanks your help would be greatly appreciated

Any dealer should be able to reset it. Also you could check the cable and make sure it's not out of adjustment too.

Hi, I did check the cable and backed off the adjustment with no change. My local dealer pretty much told me with all the mods I did they don't want anything to do with it.

Those have mechanical throttle body, there's no resetting.
If the linkage is all good than high idle will usually mean a vacuum leak somewhere around the intake manifold.

I guess a good place to start would be to replace the intake gaskets, or can I run it and spray carb cleaner on the intake to look for a leak that way?

Take it to dealer and have the TPS reset. Then go from there.

you might want to look into the idle air controller, after all it's 13 years old.
before you go back to the dealer. or just invest in a home candoo.

Sure any shop will be able to replace your idle air controller and charge you an hour to do it
