Perhaps check again? Or go ahead and send to Precision. The tune is a very worthwhile upgrade. Be sure to ask him to clear your EEPROM data as well (or ask for a quote to just reset the EEPROM)

So still planning on sending the comp off but I took it to the lake today and the full throttle RPM is only 5700

    What are your symptoms?
Ok so I took it to the lake and it runs good but it is a slow take off (for what I think it should do) and a max rpm of 5700

Sounds like bad map sensors, have you replaced them both?

Yes I did did the full clean out from a bad oil ingestion and then change both maps and it fixed a bunch of problems no I need to get the comp reflashed so it comes outta “stuck in stupid”

As you are in Canada I would recommend you contact Precision Sports if you want a reflash: http://www.precisionsports.ca/en/cat...laris-275.html
I have been trying to get hold of precision sports with no luck

The system is cleaned, and new MAPs are installed and it continues to run like it has problems. (Oddly not everyone experiences this... thus the mystery behind the real culprit... although the idea of bad cached data on the ECU seems plausible).

The few "I've finally got it fixed" reports back we gotten (many folks don't ever follow-up with us on the forums)... said a reflash of the ECU (or different ECU) did the trick.

Would love to know the real cause.

    Cheers!
Ripcuda I took my msx 150 in and got the EEPROM codes erased and it worked awesome 7250 rpm and 103km/hr on the water...... but it only lasted for one tank of gas and now it’s back in stuck on stupid 5750-5900 rpm and slow off the line. Any ideas??

    Thanks in advance

Very interesting. How did you get the codes cleared? With Digitial Wrench? After the trouble reappeared... do you have any new codes?

Was there a cool-down period between when it was running great... vs running not great?

Ruling out simple stuff... fresh gas? Did issue start when you got lower in your gas level? (possible water in gas)? Is fuel tank venting properly?

A ~5800 rpm limit has been linked to MAP sensor issues. Did you clean yours or buy new ones? Pull them and confirm no gunk coughed out of your intercooler and contaminated them again. Try swapping them (intake to hardpipe) and see. Worth a try.

    Cheers!
