    2004 Gp1300r problem research

Ill keep it short and simple.

Vibrations have caused bolts to back off and break in both the head and exhaust. Mounts on head have rubbed and i am wary of having my machinist buddy spend a lot of time machining surfaces and trying to fix. (He has the other half of this gp1300 pair) love my 2018 gp1800 but since upgrading the wife got the hand me down 1300 and she always complains of the excessive rattling (haha i know) i cant find a replacement head for this ski thats not "damaged" alse broke off a few bolts in expansion and exhaust mount. Any one have these parts on hand for sale? Has anyone experienced this? This is a stock ski other than cat delete and dplate.

What about the two bolts that go into cylinders 2 and 3 below the head? I would assume the broken bolts were loose and allowed the vibration causing the bolts to break.

One was loose but those arent broken. I read something somewhere about bad motor mounts causing a vibration but mine are in good shape. This ski has less than 100 hours.

Good luck finding a used head that isn't damaged. Looks like they're all junk from my recent search.

Best price I could find on a new head was https://www.yamahapartsmonster.com

$377.30. It's literally hundreds less than some other places I've seen. Just ordered mine, and then it'll be shipped off to be milled.
