What are the Main differences between the 230 Hp engine & the 300 engine?

Looking for the main differences between the two engine packages available for the 18-19 skis.

I know the 300 1630 Engine is bored and stroked, with a maintenance free supercharger.
The new 230 HP engine, is a 1503 also with a maintenance free charger, & is optimized to run on 87octane.

Does anyone know if the SC wheel diameter is the same on both?
Is the flywheel tooth count the same between the two? ( does 1 spin faster)?

Is the size of external intercoolers different?

I am considering the new RXT 230 OR the RXT-X 300 ST3 hulls.

    Any help is appreciated, thanks

In short terms the 230 is the old 255/260 just that it no longer uses cast iron sleeve and uses the same plasma coating as the 300, the 230 charger is the same as the 255 and completely diff from the 300 interns if size and specs but you can put a 300 charger on a 230 if you change a few things .

Thanks for the reply, are you sure the 230 chargers for 18+ are the same as the 255 X-chargers?
I read somewhere in the specs, that the 230 shares the same maintenance free supercharger technology as the 300. I’ll be riding the Demo skis tomorrow morning here locally. I’ll pick their brains on the new options

    I just bought a 2017 gtr-x with the 230hp and the manual does say it's a maintenance free s/c

300 chargers have better lubrication, better and larger ceramic bearings, larger clutch, different spring washer configuration. It's the same concept like before but everything is beefier/better and supposedly more precise/balanced.

Do the new 230/260 chargers have ceramic bearings? Did they tweak something to jump from 200hr service to "maintenance free"?

Had my 230 charger out but not apart, a reasonable person would look at it and say its an X charger. Inlet diameter is same, I did not take the front cover off but other sources tell me it's X charger size. Peeking in at the rear bearing looks the same as always. Supercharger gear tooth and flywheel count are same as 215 to 260.
    Sort of disappointing really.
So what keeps the engine power at 230 not 260 output?
The jet pump in my 19 is the same size as a 300, different impeller for sure,
gets to 8020 - 8040 and sits there pretty easy.

Drive shaft also shares the same part number with the 300.
My take is the engine and intercooler are pretty much the differences.
