RPM's while in the water vs hooked up
I guess Ive never really paid any attention to my rpms when its hooked up to a garden hose. Would it be the same as in water or higher? trying to work out all the kinks before summertime or else I wont be able to get in to a dealership if needed. I would test it out myself but there is still about 10 inches of ice on the lakes around here

Should be the same rpm idling in the water or on the hose 1700-1800 rpm. At least every ski I’ve had does.

The computer controls idle rpm and I don't think it knows whether it is in the water or not. So it should be the same. What year and model of ski?

Idle rpm is 1800 plus or minus 50 per the service manual and it isn't adjustable so it would be the same in or out of the water.

Defo lower in the water for sure. Mine is about 100rpm or more difference.
