gp 1200 99 model ride plate
ive just put a new solas xo prop and protec intake grate in my ski.it is stock in the motor .what is the best ride plate to get,or should i put the stock one back on.

It depends what type of riding conditions you ride in. For smooth water the R&D plate with Group K mod is the fastest. The Riva Limited Edition is a good all around plate, and the shredmaster is the best for rough water, but is the slowest of these three plates in glass. I don't know much about the Pro-tec plate.

welcome to the forum lokos. Listen to what sleeper has to say. He has done extensive testing in this area and probably has one of the fastests old school gp's around.

ride plate
thanks for the help guys,i may be interested in that stock plate if it is faster
im from australia so not sure on shipping cost.i do 98% riding in the surf so i need heaps of low down grunt.plus i need reliability any other ideas welcome
thanks. i got some photos on ozpwc gallery under lokos,that should give you a idea of the ridding we do

The longer earlier plate can be faster in certain conditions, while slower on true "glass" water conditions. It is vastly better at reducing porpoising compared to the shortie.
Private Message Mongoose, maybe he has something he can sell you that is alot closer.
