Yeah the Icontrol Ecu has more limiters than my wife ....

When you refer to boost limiter, are you talking about the ECU pulling back the DBW throttle as the boost comes up? I will be doing plenty of logging of the stock ECU this spring and will try to document how the stock ECU does this.

    That's exactly correct Andy!

Let's assume that your basic goal is to beat all of this stuff and have total control of your tune and have a way to do autotuning and keep the stock gauges and brakes.... What is the cheapest way to get there from here?

Riva reflash to get past the speed and rev limits. about $650

    and

CMD with autotune and digital display About $1000

    and

    New injectors at about $400

    About $2050 total

Add springs and retainers if you start pushing the rev limit past say 8400 RPM add about $300

    Added boost runs about $700

    New total, just over $3000

All reflashes keep the stock gauges and brake functionality. So do the plug and play stand alone ECU's

Riva does not have a reflash

R&D has a reflash that you must send the ECU to them for programming ($750)

    V-Tech maptuner $389 with tuning credit $600 = $989
This gives the user the ability to change mapping all he wants and even flash back to stock at no extra cost.

Dynojet CMD with Autotune and LCD display is $997.99

If the user plans to turn 8500 or less RPM's then he can get by with just a retainer kit.
For up to 8800 RPM he will want the full valve train upgrade kits. Supertech in the store is $298 and the Riva kit is $539.95 with the greenhulk coupon code when shopping in this forums online store. For more than 8800 RPM he will also want to install light weight valves.

Supercharger upgrades for the 255/260 HP skis range from $549 to $659 however you can upgrade the entire supercharger with a 2rude, 3Rude, Riva XXX, ET 68-140, or ET 70-145 and the prices on those range from $1699 - $1999

R&D must have been the reflash I was thinking of... I saw that a few days ago.

Jerry, can I get that reflash thru you as I see the Yamaha versions on your site.
