    wear ring info

    any pros or cons about a ss wear ring? ive read the whole write up about the ss vs nylon ring and still up in the air? im running a stage 3 gtx with 9500 jesus tune with a 13/18 pitched prop, manly run river and lake, but do ride ocean couple times during the season, would like info from someone that actually runs one or has to provide more info

    Iíve had both i personally donít like the SS , but yes you will get mixed reviews.

    I switched a longtime ago with my sea doo to ss and never looked back. Def worth it imo. The way I look at it is if you damaged the prop with the ss it was prolly going to happen with the plastic also.

    I ran ss wearring for 150 hours up till 1 year ago, salt water only.
    But back to plastic now.
    Observed impeller getting worn at the tips.
    Creating more gap between wearring and impeller.
    So I choose to buy new wearring every season over a new impeller or repair.

    As mentioned before my experience and my opinion !!

    X2, same reason I gave up on it , damage to the outer edge of the prop .

    thanks for all the info from actual experience with it, i was guessing that the prop would take the damage if something happen to go thru it, and would have to just repitch it, guess its stay with what works, thanks
