    2013 ultra 300x breaking down

gday all, thanks for having me here. I have a 13 ultra300x which sort of surges breaks down after about 5 seconds into boost (fpo). the dealership said my fuel pump was not pumping enough pressure so they changed it, still didn't fix it, I changed the plugs, still didn't fix it then I got them to flush the fuel tank, which had bad stinky fuel which still didn't fix it. has anyone else had this happen to there ski? thanks, Mick.

I’m working my way through similar issues. I also have the exact model ski. On mine, it runs perfectly fine for a bit then it won’t go over 50 - 60. I get full boost just no revs.

    ive done the following
    new sc belt
    exhuast filter
    belt tensioner lubed
    new plugs
    new leads
    new coil pack
    clean and tested the intercooler

i dont think my issue is mechanical, ski runs fine. I’m replacing the fuel pump next. If that’s doest fix it I’ll do the ecu. One step at a time with these things and don’t rush anything.

The ski ski is easy to work on and I’ve done everything myself based on the information in this forum. One thing though, just be sure to degrease everything in the engine bay before you start working.

After years of spraying wd40 after every ride things can get gooped up.

    cheers
    Mike

thanks mate, i seen a thread regarding the ecu, has very same issue, BUT that was on a 14 model. mine will run fine with a little miss untill boost then on boost hang on for about 5 seconds then speed/ rpms drop off then coffs farts until you release throttle then you can go again until repeat...

Fuel pumps are expensive. At least check the pressure and flow rate before you replace it. Perhaps clean the injectors.

Why is that mate? I saturate the engine and components with XPS engine spray. You think this could be part of problem?
