I don't know... I just got it out of the shop after fixing a broke motor mount and a failed carbon seal. When Riva test rode they came back and said that I was down 300 RPM, they thought a peice a debris had struck my impeller changing my pitch. Riva wanted my ski for a month to send the impeller to Skat for re-finishing
I had my fill with Riva so I took out my pump to do it myself and there it was
Riva missed it!!
I know somehow all my problems came from one event, I just can't peice them together.
1. Broken Engine mount
2. C-clip under collar fails on drive shaft allowing Carbon boot to slide
3. Broken pump support
4. Wacked pitch on prop??
I know the broken peice changed my pitch but in what order did the others happen? Would the broken motor mount cause a wobble or shift in my drive shaft causing the c-clip to fail allowing my boot to slide knocking a hole in my pump supportLast edited by Alex13; 06-05-2007 at 07:00 PM.

are you close to PPG? maybe they could install new pump support for you?
if front or rear motor mount fails completely, engine will roll or lift under torque. I could see the c-click or carbon seal getting off killter and if you have single bearing pump shaft, maybe the prop wacking the wear ring a bit but what blasted a hole in there like that!...PR...

Exact same thing happened to me, TWICE! Makes a hellacious sound when the plastic piece from the pump support goes through your pump when spinning 8400 rpm. If you hit some large debris at high speed that can cause this to happen. When looking at my Riva grate, I noticed there was some casting imperfection causing a crown on the flat that mates up to the metal ride plate. I think it's possible that the grate was rocking causing the plastic to stress crack on the pump support. I got about 50 hours on the ski each time before the failure. Mark U. had a good idea. When he replaces a pump support he turns it upside down and fills the front part, that mates up to the intake grate, with epoxy for more strength. Sea Doo warranted mine twice, but said if it happens again they won't repair under warranty. It seems it's rare for this to happen. Changing out the pump support is a big PIA. Figure on 8 hours to do it.

Before you install the new one fill the honey comb with fiberglass and resin (upside down).
