Is the tunes honestly worth the extra money from a scom jump? I keep thinking about it and in the end I feel I'm gonna be better running a scom for a few years until the warranty is closer to being out and I know the machine is reliable

You can always flash it back to the stock tune if dealer work is needed. Everyone I have ever heard buy a scom ended up with a ecu flash very soon after.

Just traded my spark Trixx in for a 2018 rxtx300 and am super excited to give it a maiden voyage tommorow but I was already thinking about mods. I was thinking for at least a few years to keep it simple since I have a 5 year warranty on it so I was thinking just scom and catch can but saw the scom mount needs drilling to be done to the hull which I really don't want to do since if I put their intake on later the mounting location is supposed to change anyway which would result in even more hulls. I guess I was wondering if I just got the scom for now if I can just ziptie it near the ecm or modules near the plug. Also does greenhulk have any discount codes for Riva? Thanks guys!
First thing I'd do is buy a shop manual. Read it cover to cover. Learn everything about your ski, and buy the needed tools specific for the ski. Check all hoses and clamps, oil and coolant levels. Then ride! If there is a problem, list it here for guidance on what and how to fix it, or at least learning from others what to tell the dealership for warranty repairs.

Only you can decide on what mods you want done. Nothing wrong with just a scom as long as you understand once its installed it good only for your ski. Ride, ride, ride. Get some hours on it. Then mod.
