When to replace the tiny battery

I have a 2018 GTX 230. Love the ski but it has a tiny battery. This is the 2nd year. So far no indication of any issue but I do not want to get standed.

Do these tiny batteries get replaced every year, every 2 years or 3 years?

Have they changed from the 30 series battery?
Kept on a battery tender when not in use a good AGM will last 7,8 or more years.

    I think it's a 20 series now

Yes your correct ( I had to look). Still will last years properly maintained. But if you add a bunch of accessories like bilge pump and other stuff you may want to add a second battery for peace of mind.

I wasn't pleased to see they went to the the 20 size battery, ait seems to be up to the job, unless there are some issues.

the specs are fairly close, but I'd be jamming a 30 in there if I was able to.

does mean I don't have to stock so many 30's, which is OK by me

I've been getting 4-5 years on my agm batteries. I peak them out with a trickle charger once a month in the off season.

Did you know a fully charged AGM should have 12.8 volts vs a reg lead acid batt having only 12.6.
This is the reason for “good for AGM type maintainers”.
