best prop for gp1800 or is the Solas safe ?
I realize this may be beating a dead horse, but at least its not another "Oil" post.
With the Solis props coming apart and destroying the pump I am questioning which
prop is the best for a GP1800 with just a flash. My uncles 13/22r dynafly came apart
and wrecked the whole pump, stater, and wear ring. I do not want the hassle or aggrivation
of this and would like to know which prop is the best right now. I am running a rock solid 78 with just a flash ( stock )
so if a new prop is faster, thats free speed ( minus the cost of the prop) but you know what I mean.
I am reluctant to buy any Solas props right now. Is the cracking issue fixed ? this is the impellor
that I have been considering:

post up your rants or raves, thanks in advance.

Depending on which tune you have you may want the 13/20. I’m one of 6 people I know with the 13/20 and none of them have exploded

David, depends on how many RPM you want to turn. If 8300 go with the 13/20
If more than 8300 go with the 13/18
I would not worry one bit with the Solas. The issues with those impellers are few and far between and if there is an issue Solas has been covering all damages.
The difference in acceleration between the stock impeller and Solas is mind blowing. You will be VERY impressed and glad you went with one.
As always, use the greenhulk discount code in the forums store to save off those impellers. Hope to see you in June for Mudbug!

I am running the solas 13/18@8600 + rpm and no issues at all. The acceleration with the 13/18 is nice.

NO ISSUES HERE. 13 18 SOLAS. I had the same concerns before but I think they had issues early on and then may have had a bad batch or two. I have not had any issues and at all here

Interesting anything to back this up as my mate who had his pump detstroyed when the solas prop fitted by dealer sheared a blade all he got was a big bill from the dealer for a new prop and housing.... this was on a 17 fx Ho stock apart from prop and sponsons how does he get solas to cover the damages?
