    Question 1997 Monte Carlo Tigershark 1000

    Hello
    I'm from portugal, i've bouth a 1997 Monte Carlo tigershark 1000 115hp.
    When i try to start it i just hear the start engine clocking but the motor doesn't spin.

    Any ideia ? It was stoped from 2017, after 2 years i try to start it, the turbine can be blocked ?

    have you try to turn engine by hand first to see if they are stuck ?

    To do that i need to remove the plugs right ? How can i turn the engine by hand ? using some tool to grab the transimion like a wrench?

    you can find good advice

    search for

    "won't turn over"

    be careful, parts for this ski are in short supply

    first step

    pull plugs check for rust
    try to turn driveshaft with channel lock pliars

    often the starter bendix goes bad and locks up the engine.

    try to turn in both directions

    i have some parts for it but shipping will be $$$$$

    Well, i don't know i to turn the engine by hand, i've tried to start it again and i hear the solenoide clicking and starter trying to turn the engine but it won't rotate, i don't know if the engine is locked or if it's a bendix problem.

    A click from the solenoid means the solenoid is getting signal and trying to work. If you can hear the starter whining/spinning fast then it could be the bendix locked up. First thing I would do is put a meter to the starter terminal and push the start button. See if it's actually getting 12v to the starter.

    The starter doesn't spin but i ear it trying to spin.

    I already solved the problem but the impeller is locked, what can i do ? How i remove it ?

    Get a service manual

    Most likely the bearings need replacement

    Or the wear ring has expanded due to corrosion

    Did the engine crank after you pulled off the pump?

    What exactly did you remove?
