Anyone with JE Pistons in their SHO?

I have glanced at the instructions with the pistons set but I cant seem to find any marking to determine which way the pistons should be turned and placed on the rod, or if it matters at all.
The stock piston has a notch mark to show direction....anyone...

    Thx

I'm using the CP pistons and they did not have markings either. The builder that helped put my motor back together said it did not matter.

Thx for the response. I assume the others either don’t have a clue or don’t warrant it a fair question. It’s getting harder to get much input here anymore.

Most factory pistons have the pin offset to one side to reduce piston slap, especially when cold. Some are offset as much as .060". Some are also directional due to valve reliefs cut in the piston top. If there are no markings at all then most likely the pin is centered and it would not make a difference as long as there are no valve relief cutouts.

They do have to be turned correctly due to valve relief size on the exhaust side. I didnt notice this at first. Thx, I guess a couple of you out there actually try to help folks....thx...

Exhaust valves have a smaller head diameter so the exhaust side will have the smaller diameter valve reliefs.
