2004 Polaris Virage 800 DI
I recently purchased a 2004 Polaris Virage 800 DI. It will turn over even if tether is attached. Is that normal?
I cannot get it to start because of no spark and wonder if there is an issue with tether kill switch

Welcome to Greenhulk!
Yes it is normal for the engine to crank without the lanyard installed.
The no spark condition is quite likely the EMM. My business (Lakeside Tech) can help you with that. You should first check the CPS (ohms) and the stator open circuit AC volts though. EDIT: Also make sure the display doesn't say "LOCKED"

Im pretty sure if the display is locked the motor won't crank. I believe its connected to the ground on the start solenoid
