    Gp1300r won’t start/only backfire

First off I have read through many similar post with no results!
my ski will turn over and over but will not start, every once and a while I get a nice loud backfire, I am getting spark, and fuel. Back story is I got a ski before the guy finished putting it back together (on my part) all that was left was wiring/cables. Is there anyone that has an idea of what I could look for?!?
Info I got on The ski:

    Ported/Bored 66v cylinders by SpeedFreeks
CrankWorks Trued + Welded HotRods crankshaft
    Oem 1300 pistons
    Studded 66v 150psi head
    Riva 1200 intake grate
Sealed pump shoe with pressure relief holes
    R&D ride plate 1300
    Ported cylinders
    Free flow exhaust
    Ho pump
    E.F.I. control
    Exact tac
    3 degree timing advance key

Just saw this and you might have already looked at it.
I had a faulty CDI that did a similar thing except it was fairly consistent. It would backfire soon as you let go of the green starter button.

It ran before I got it so how would that be? And is there a way I can check those? I’m not sure about the cylinders that’s just the info I got
