    Need help!

Im at the point my ski is all done except for a tune. Right now i do not have the funds to buy a maptunerx and than buy a tune for $600.

Ive contacted a few people that can tune but only offer the 8650 tune. Im wondering, who initially made this tune. I cannot get any info about it. I do not know if the timing has been messed with, if the afr will be correct for my build etc. I dont want to spend $300 on the tune and than find out my afr is all wacky and i need to get a custom tune from riva anyways. Any help is appreciated!

    etc etc etc

What year ski? All the 8650 tunes were (borrowed) from the original Riva.

I have your setup, but on an 04, running the 8650 tune from Riva. It's not a wild tune and to get the most out of it you will have to tweak the trailing edge of the prop to get your top speed and WOT at 8600. Without the tweaking you will not see 8600 with the hardware you have and the tune.
At least I didn't, with the adjustment, I get 76-77 mph at 8600 rpm on the 04 RXP, you will probably see a little less as your is the heavy RXT, but should be close.
    Now acceleration, its great!

it will be about 3mph less than a rxp with everything being the same. I have first hand experience with that one. I was also about 30lbs heavier than the guy on the RXP

Is there a difference between the riva pro series ecu with 8650 and getting my ecu tuned to 8650?

you can save money having someone dump a tune in your current ECU.

In all honesty, though, a 14-15 year old motor is going to be getting tired and the more power you build the more likely you are to experience failure. RPMs create more heat. Up to you but if it was my ride and my AFRs were in check already I'd prop it back and have fun until it lets go.

in that case just have someone dump the tune in. If you plan on going further buy the tuner yourself

They copy the tune from one ecu and put it on another ecu
