$100 reward! Seadoo rxp 2013. No display, no beep, no crank.

Not sure if this is the right place to post this but ill give it a go.

I have a Seadoo RXP 260 RS 2013 model which is "dead". Nothing in the display, no beeps, no click, no crank. Ive tried replacing the battery and checking the fuses. Any idea what i can look for? I posted this on another forum aswell, with a $100 reward for the one finding a solution. Its wintertime here in Norway so I wont be able to ride the PWC for a while, but would like to sort it out before the season begins!

I found one fried contact (something to do with charging???) and also one contact in the fuse-box that was loose/stuck in the bridge.
    Replaced the contact.

I replaced the battery aswell, with no help.

I will paypal $100 to whomever help me find a solution.

Im not sure what you mean. After a quick google search i see what you mean. I will look into it!

If it was a bad dess post, shouldnt the display light up anyways? I thought it lights up even if the key isnt connected (when pushing the start button)

You are correct pushing the start button wakes up the ski.
Those wires are from the stator.

$100 reward! Seadoo rxp 2013. No display, no beep, no crank.

I would suspect after that short you have fried the fuse panel and or worse the Ecu.

I'd also have to go with the ECU being damaged. That was a large burn at the triple plug for the alternator. I'm suspecting your dc circuit got hit with 50V+ ac right before it failed.

The system was drawing max current from the alternator on a high Resistance connection, I suspect the regulator failed and that alternator output was bridged to the battery

if you can find somebody with a code reader, they can tell you in 30 seconds if the ecu is alive or not

other approaches will keep you warm this winter, as your burner thru piles of Kroners

I visited a couple of years ago. great country

for my solution to the deadliness issue...disconnect the regulator. if the system wakes up there is something I need in Lieu of the reward

chocolate. Details if this turns out to be your fix ( well you have alot to fix) I'll let ya know

Look like your had a very high voltage from rectifier problem or/and you had short circuit

Dismount your fuse box and check that all wire are ok and completly isolated from others and that fuses mount are 100% clean (could have rest of plastic)

Put a new retifier, repair wiring and fuses broken

You need check very very well your wiring that come from intake manifold (wires from conection that you posted) to rectifier (front up of fuel tank) probably with the heat the protection of wire is broke and you could have again a short circuit.

If checked and replace all and you still don't work probably your cluster was dead (by before problem with circuit) and also could ecu. The best way before to replace cluster/ecu is check it with computer

it looks like you may have other problems also, but try replacing the 30 amp relay in the fuse box. Part# 278002596. I had that relay fail in my 2013 Rxtx. My ski was acting like you describe.

I fixed a 2013 RXP-X that was doing the exact same thing. It was a bad start/ stop switch. Seadoo put out a switch kit for the fix.
