So whats the benifit of going to all the trouble pulling the manifold and drilling it, when you can just put a tap off the line to the map sensor? I see people doing it both ways, and just curious.

Some people say tapping off the map sensor can mess up the reading the map sensor gives. Most people tap the manifold independent of the map sensor for that reason. It’s not hard to do and safer if you ask me

The map sensor is critical to proper engine performance. If you tap off it you increase the time it takes for the intake's pressure to be accurately read due to the length of line you tee'd into it. Not to mention any tiny leak in that line or adapter will effect your performance. Why chance it? Notice all auto and marine manufacturers place the map sensor in a location by itself.

I totally agree. An independent line makes sure a BOV malfunction won't throw off the MAP readings.

Drill bit size is 21/64" for the 1/8" NPT fitting that's included in the Fizzle kit. Written and video instructions are at www.FizzleFactory.com/instructions.html Please feel free to contact me with any questions.

    Thanks,

    James
