Kawasaki Ultra 300x Intercooler Leak Repair Possible?
Hello Folks
Has anyone ever had a an intercooler rebuilt on a JetSki Ultra300x? Is it worth it?
Got a quote for a used one for $900 and new for $1850.

you pressure test it and it's actually bad? not for one second saying its impossible but for sure a signal there some extreme lack of maintenance. to my knowledge there is no rebuild kit and you will have to buy new

I've always had the ski shop serviced although now I'm finding out that there was a whole bunch of stuff that was never done.....
I hooked up a little pressure rig on the water lines, it's held 30psi for a few hours now. Does this pass the test? After 45 mins of riding the inter-cooler has water in it, could it only leak when it heats up?

At that price I would at least take it to a radiator shop and see what they say.

Running some more tests and figuring out how things work. Should air be freely passing though the blow off valve highlighted below?

Depends
As the blow off needs boost to hold it closed

Slight leak (Hissing sound), just enough to prevent pressure from building up in the inter-cooler.

You need to have the same pressure going into the vacuum line on the bov
Then it should not leak

What fx160 said for sure to keep it closed. Of course just about any leak it could have can be fixed. from a hole that is welded to the o-rings are easily replaceable for <$50.
