RPM Power Valve couplers
I will have 15 sets of billet blue Rpm power valve couplers available @ mud bug. $70.00 a set. Very high quality and easy to install. Take the slop out of those power valve shafts.

Ok, for all you guys getting couplers from me I am going to try and post some pics on how to install them. I dont have a gpr engine so your going to have to use your imagination.

From left to right.
The first pic clearly shows the couplers and the slot.
3rd pic, This is the end that goes on the shaft after the other end has been pushed onto the other shaft. This may be stiff but very doable. If you try installing the slotted end first it wont work.
the 4th pic shows the coupler with out the collars. The collars slide onto the shafts FIRST. They are slotted and must be aligned correctly before be pushed onto the coupler. This pic shows the end that gets pushed onto the shaft first. Push it on dont have the coupler at a steep angle get it as close to level with the shaft as possible before pushing it on.
Once on the shafts all you do is align the collar with the pin in the coupler push the collar on , apply red loctite to the allen head screws and tighten. I have noticed that this revision has a deeper allen head as to not strip out as easily.

Does the slotted end of the coupler go onto the shorter PV shaft or the longer PV shaft?

The non slotted end of the coupler should go towards the back of the ski.

I have a 1999 stx with this same issue. It appears to have been "fixed"...
