    300X Wont rev over 6000rpm

My 2013 Ultra 300X with 76 hours doesnt seem to want to rev over 6000rpm.
Ski starts and runs like normal just once rpm gets to 5750 to 6000rpm it just stay there with a little bit of a jerk like it has a rev cut.

Found that exhaust filter was blown out and had blocked the muffler, thinking that was the problem, replaced the filter and cut muffler to remove jammed filter.
Cleaned out intercooler while doing the exhaust filter and checked all hoses which were all good.
    Problem still remained.
    Replaced spark plugs.
    Disconnected scom.
    Problem still remains.

Have not checked with the SLO key yet.

Can anyone think of what I should do or check next?

    Thanks in advance.

So just remove, clean, re-lube and re-fit?

Yes and make sure your supercharger belt tensioner is working properly by moving it back and forth with a socket on the nut

Would be good to have a stinky on the process to trouble shoot rev and performance issues with a 300 and a 310 with links to other forum posts that walk though the process of SC belt change and SC tensioner removal and refit.

Sounds like myself and a few other Kawi owners are coming up with the same issues, could be because the ski are reaching a particular age and hour of use.

no new problem with the ski platform

I find its just new people coming into the sport and a lot of poor quality servicing / mechanics claiming to be specialists in watercraft do repairs making bigger issues out of something that has been the same for years now ...

    %100 correct Waz.

I put my faith in a service tech to pick these types of issues up as part of routine maintenance, after all they are the experts at it. For these issues to pass straight out of a work shop service is disappointing.

The upshot... by using the resources on this forum I can do the routing stuff myself now and can be sure it's done the right way.

FYI - I didn't end up calling that bloke you recommended and opted to get a second opinion from someone else. I'll keep the reference up my sleeve just in case though.

The tensioner was seized up, I have finally pulled it apart and not just need to clean and re-lube it.
Do I use any special grease or is anti-seize a better option?
