yamaha took care of the inserts
on the 2019 gp1800r yamaha took care of the problem with the hull cracking by the pump shoe inserts.

the older gp 1800 had a factory reinforcement but were the pump shoe inserts were it was cut out they just sat flush with hull use to tend to crack the area. Now on the 2019 the reinforcement is all the way across the insert area so the inserts sit on top of the reinforcement like they should have.

I have heard they have trouble with the supercharger shaft on the GP1800 have they addressed this issue as well?

Great to hear!! Hopefully thats a lesson learned for the rest of time for Yamaha.
ie
Do not cut away parts of the actual hull where components under pressure/force are literally bolted through. haha.

I'm wondering the same thing. Buying a 2019 this weekend, but I'll have 3 additional yrs of YES warranty on it so I'm not too worried. Someone will likely need to pull one apart and see if the gear is still pressed on unless there is a change in the part number at Yamaha. (which I doubt)
