They work just fine with two. When my wife rides with me it does get a little wet in the rough but that's just the nature of the beast.

I'm thinking about buying one just trying to see how the ski is with 2 up.

Generally speaking, if it's rated for 3, it's really pretty good with 2 aboard. If it's rated for 2, it's better with only 1 aboard.

I haven't ridden the STX-15F (just bought one), but I've had a couple of the STX-1100s (very similar). Most of my riding on them was with 2 people and it handled quite well. Of course, when the waves get a foot high or more, you're going to get wet.

I've never flipped the STX-1100s, and you'd have to work pretty hard to flip them.

I have a pair of 17' STX -15Fs and we do doubles all the time. Super comfortable, still keeps most of it's power and handling. You should be okay. We even pull Tubes and Skis behind!!

My wife and I have no issues riding 2-up. These are very fun skis for being NA.

2 riders ...no problem. The 15-F is a 3 seater and Load capacity is 496lbs....3 riders within that weight is fine. 2 adults + kid or 1 adult + 2 kids. you try 3 adults and it just too much weight and someone is going into the water. The STX 15-F is a very fun ski.
