    Take out hours

    Hi guys, have a question. On yamaha FZ 16 or every yamaha model, can take out hours on display?
    My friends is looking for a jet ski. He found FZS 16, but i don't trust of hours on display...

    Highly uncommon - if not impossible to "delete" hours from the gauges. Never say never, but likelihood would require super mad-skills / or access. One could swap-in gauge from another low-hour ski perhaps.

    That said, the ECU tracks hours separately, and you would need YDS to read those hours. Nor resettable either. It's also worth noting that it's perfectly normal that an OEM Yamaha, let's say after 100+ hrs that the two hour-clock be slightly off - think the gauges drift higher due to the ignition sleep timeout lasting longer.
