    I have no idea. I imagine it could have some minor effect. Sounds like a good project to determine what, if any, effect the cooling ports have on tunnel pressure.

Basically the check valve is there to prevent air being sucked in at take off because there is actually vacuum in the tunnel until you get on plane. The air being sucked in causes terrible cavitation. I ride in a river so every now and then a small piece of debris gets stuck in the check valve causing it to stick open and cavitate on take off. The check valve in my setup only has a 5 lb spring in it.
    To add to this, that's where the shut off valve comes into play.....

    If the calculations are correct we would be dumping 5Gpm so at 3 exit point that would be 15Gpm on top of the ride plate thatís should vent some pressure and really help cooling .
