The first ride I took on my new vxr had vibration. Turned out to be the exhaust resonators rubbing inside the hull. A few small tweaks after loosening the hose clamps and then retightebing fixed it. The exhaust resonators do tend to vibrate around a little bit
On my GP 1800 I just eliminated them and went with the rear exit exhaust

Salt will hurt the engine. I’ve personally experienced it in an fx cruiser. Head corroded away in several areas. Yes you do flush Seadoo’s too, but only the manifold and inter cooler on sc models. Much easier and cheaper to replace than a head.

I'd be more concerned about frying a piston on a kawi than salt issues.

Yes, I do flush after every use. Salt water - wow, it is really nasty stuff. It does not look nasty but between barnacles and the salt holy cow, rinse good, flush good after every use.
But waves provided by mother nature is sure fun to just rock and roll on the ocean. My goal is to always see dolphin.

Open loop in salt is no issue! We all run Yamahas here and hundreds of hours over multiple ski's. Only Salt riding! Just flush them and coat the engine with some good silicone spray! There was another person who insisted Nano 2 hull de laminate over time in choppy sea's and I called BS to that too. I still stand by my statement. If you take care of your ski you will have years of fun, if you treat it like shit don't expect it too hold up.
