Thumbs up 2007 fx1100 ho problems

I have a 2007 yamaha fx1100 HO MR1 installed in an extreme shallow jetboat. I have 2 problems with this motor that the yamaha dealers in my area will not deal with as this motor is not installed in a jet ski or waverunner. The dealer where this boat was originally purchased does not think I have a problem with this motor, I say bull pucky.
    Problem 1:
the motor stalls out going from high rpm say 7000 rpm to 1000 rpm quickly like to stop the boat. I can decrease the rpm slowly and the motor wont stall but rapidly decrease rpm I stall out.
    Problem 2:
I have no midrange rpms, between about 2100 to 4100 rpms. At about 2100 rpms the motor will start running rough the rpms will start to go up and down like 50 to 100 rpms them shoot up to about 4100 rpms. From idle to 2100 rpms and above 4100 rpms the motor runs great. If I try to get rpms between 2100 and 4000 rpm the motor jumps up to 4100 rpm. Sometime I can bring the rpms down from 4100 rpms to say 3000 rpms but after a minute or 2 the rpms jump back up to 4100 rpms.
I have changed the spark plugs and impeller and this did not correct the problem. Also this problem occurs in forward, reverse and neutral.I checked the fuel tank for water and drained the fuel rail once. I am at a loss at what to check next. Any suggestion as to what the problems could be and what to check would be helpful. Thanks

    Vacuum leak or MAP sensor.

Is there a way to check for a vacuum leak and where is the MAP located? I looked in the parts catalogs and could not find the MAP.
    Thanks

I could probably run at 10,000 rpm. I usally run around 8,000 rpm or less. I have a video clip I want to post from my photo album but don't know how to post the video, the video icon lets you post from utube and not from my photo album. The other icon is for images and I try to upload the video and I could not upload the video, any suggestions.
    Thanks

Greenhulk does not directly host video files. The video must be uploaded to some other video hosting service and then linked to from here.

Most people put their video on YouTube for viewing on GH here but Vimeo and a few others will also work.

Hi. Having one of these motors and went through a few things already, I might be looking at the set up of the throttle bodies, flushing the injectors with a strong dose of seafoam and maybe more typically, looking at the health and operation of the idle control valve and pipe work. Good luck.
