Mounting a tongue box on a I beam aluminum trailer

I just received a tongue cargo box (Christmas) for my load rite aluminum double PWC trailer. I am not quite sure how to mount it to the trailer due to the I beams. I've attached some pictures. Has anyone done on here this to an aluminum trailer? I've googled but found nothing. Can I drill through the outer part of the I beam? Is there a better way? Something like a clip?

Any help would be very appreciated!

    Thank you,

    Rich

I used the (4) U-bolts with washers & nuts like you use for the spare tire bracket a lot of times. This was useful to not have holes drilled through my aluminum I-beams. I also used a 1/2” piece of plywood inside the tool box bottom to help with strength and for the tools, jack and other stuff placed inside the tool box. Hope this helped, good luck.

U-bolts to the two I-beams would be preferred.
Another idea... I am noticing in the pic, the center beam is not an I-beam. It appears a little lower than the two I-beams, so if you placed the box just forward of that jack wheel, it would rest on only the two I-beams, yes? Therefore, perhaps add a "spacer" (i.e. a piece of wood, or lumber composite) to the center beam. Then as mentioned above, use two long U-bolts (square type) to secure the box to only the center beam.

Maybe this his will help as well. I used the 3/8 - 1/2Ē plywood inside to also help with securing/bolting the tool box in place.
