    Faded rub rail

Any recommendations on how to restore faded parts of the rub rail on a Ď89 Kawasaki 650sx?

Okay, thank you. I have tried to go over the rails with a hair dryer but that did not seem to work. I’ll have to try this next.

    Watch my video....

You have to get the dry rotted, sun beaten layer off first.

Skip the hairdryer and the torch, a heat gun is what you want to use. Iíve restored a lot of plastics this way. File, sand then heat gun.
